Surely it does, because the alternative was more people (and possibly people close to you and me) in the hospital and/or dying. I think there's a clear difference between "vaccines aren't working because I'm still in lockdown" and "vaccines are working because my friends and family aren't in the ICU". And for that, I'm grateful.
