I grew up in Ayrshire as well (near Kilmarnock) and now that you mention it I probably say “ken” a lot less now than I used to. I don’t think anyone ever took the piss, it’s just slowly dropped from my vocabulary as most of my pals now are from Glasgow.
The one that my pals at uni took the piss out of my me for was saying “gid” instead of “good”.
