Comment | I did CBT for OCD symptoms a few years back. Helped a fair bit. I found the best way to go about it is just book consultations with private therapists and see who you vibe with. Finding a therapist is a bit like dating. You aren't obligated to keep seeing someone if they arent a good fit, so don't be afraid to shop around. Some practicioners also do sliding scale payment or other accommodations if you're skint. I also found that being on meds helped lessen my anxiety (which manifests in obsessive thinking) so your first call could be to your gp to try an anti-depressant. (That also takes some trial and error as well to get the right one for you) |
