I got u fellow broke vegan! No idea what you like to eat for breakfast or lunch but I will share my tips.

First of all, Glasgow Food Not Bombs does free vegan meals no questions asked and give away vegan food items. They set up Sunday afternoons in queens park, and i think sometimes in the west end as well. If you DM them on instagram, some volunteers may be able to provide you some food if you ask.

Go to asian supermarkets to buy rice, onions, potatoes, gram flour, soya mince, soya chunks and beans/lentils in bulk. This is also the cheapest place to buy nuts, especially if you buy broken ones. If you buy chickpeas in the jar, you can blend those up with tahini to make a cheap and easy hummus. Gram (chickpea) flour can be used to make burmese tofu, add protein to pancake batter, etc. good thing to have on hand.

Pasta can also be purchased in bulk for cheap at lidl and asda.

Buy reduced bread and keep it in the freezer. If you take non-dairy milk in your coffee, the cheapest thing is to buy a tin of coconut milk and dilute it. Higher in sat fats, sure, but works out cheaper than cartons of plant milk. Sure you can make your own oat milk with cheap bags of oats, but I find it a hassle. If you have the time and patience though, that's even cheaper.

Farmfoods has lots of deals on frozen vegan food, like soya mince, nuggets etc. Usually some kinda multi-buy deal. Frozen peas are a great way to get your protein in for cheap. Also cheap oven chips n stuff.

Can easily make your own, cheap sausage rolls with puff pastry and the vegan sausage or filling of your choice.

If you have the time and enjoy spending it in the kitchen, pick up some flour and yeast and make pizza dough. it's easy and v cheap and pizza so yay. A bit more time consuming but you can make your own dumplings as well with cabbage/mushroom filling. Flour can also be used to make chapattis, pancakes, etc. One of my wife's favourite budget meals is okonomiyaki, or in english, a cabbage pancake. I add chopped cabbage to a basic pancake batter then add that to whatever protein or veg I have on hand.

If you like a bit of mock meat, you can pick up a big bag of vital wheat gluten from quality vitamins and herbs in town and make your own seitan. way cheaper than buying it. They also have bags of bulk soya mince and sausage mix you can buy.

Locavore has free bins for produce that is damaged or too ripe to sell, so you can scrounge around in there for free bits and bobs for soup or curries.

Also agree with the suggestion for community pantries and food boxes.
