("Glasgow's Miles Better" is the only other one I can remember, but there might be others.)
I don't really care - the only thing I know about it is the slogan - the only places I see it are on the old college tower on North Hanover Street and on the lapel badges of people trying to ingratiate themselves with whichever elements of the Council thought it up (this is far too much like the senior politicians in the USA always ensuring they wear a flag on their lapels - we don't need it, or stuff like it, over here).
I'd rather it didn't exist, but given that there are probably much worse things on which our taxes are being wasted, it's of minimal concern. |
