I grew up with Home Alone - it came out when I was about the same age as Kevin. Watching as an adult, I really dislike how tonally confused the whole thing is: you've got Kevin living his best life and the Wet Bandits planning their heist, all with a laugh and a joke. Compare that to his frantic mother who seems to be in some kind of Hallmark holiday drama, not a comedy.

Then, after all the laughs and jokes have been in the realms of Hollywood-realism, it becomes a Loony Tunes episode.

Annoys me.

But I've come to realise that none of the actual final act happens: it's all in Kevin's head. He didn't actually do any of the very-likely fatal shit.
