It's not a case of punishing people. The sofa exists and it's on your land if you want to leave it there then that's fine. The factors work for all the owners and are only doing what you ask them to do. Fun part is when you buy a flat you agree to pay for stuff that the majority vote for and it's arranged through the factors who are generally not great.
