It's always been really good. There's a grassroots music culture here that's always active, the local scenes seem really supportive. I suppose it's cheaper to live here than a lot of major cities in the UK, so that helps. There's tonnes of venues at all sizes, even with the ABC being damaged in the Art School Fire. There's plenty of venues that will book new bands as well.

Glasgow's also been awarded a UNESCO City of Music award if you want something more official.
