Comment | Given the recent admission from Glasgow City Council (GCC), employee, perhaps one of the Elected Representatives could ask?
The Scottish Housing Regulator (SHR), is reliant on self reporting. I over this year and previous year repeated contacted them. They have no in-house staff to regulate bricks & mortar. SHR passed the buck to GCC, building standards & planning. GCC, responded with a letter “too good to be true” in my favour. When I replied with a copy of the favourable text and carbon-copied the email & Bcc to a solicitor the specific employee retracted his view. Make of that what you will. Then guided to Housing & Regeneration Services where I hit a brick wall.
Recent I discussed with an architect friend who made some suggestions and through GCC, official planning portal made an enquiry and out of the blue a reply that admitted to cold bridging. And a formal response that the works I proposed require building warrant. A second on a different spin the reply passed the buck back to GCC, Housing & Regeneration Services. I await the new-year. |
