My dad died on 21st December this year (well, last year now) and it's obviously been a fucking awful time but at least I was able to be with him - he had a cardiac arrest but made it to hospital and was ill for a week before he died. He lived alone and didn't look after himself, so it could very easily have gone the way it did for your dad.
I hope you haven't been hard on yourself - you had no way of knowing. Your dad could have phoned his doctor for advice or even an ambulance if he was really worried. His health was not your responsibility. I hope you're doing OK. |
