As for this comment. There was a smaller police presence at first for a minor incident of not vacating when asked to. Scrap that, not even when asked to - when the place is closing.
That prompts the first question - should the staff go home and allow the non-budging patrons to stay locked in all night? No.

I don't think you can be arrested for swearing at the police. It'd probably be something like obscene/ profane language causing distress to other general public. Definitely hard to make it stick. Couple it with refusing to leave a premises though...
