What it is is a considered, tactical tool for managing finite roadspace. There is only so much roadspace, and there are objectively too many cars in many parts of the city.
What it should be doing is making OP consider if they really need that 2nd car for their household. It's a bad side effect that OP seeks instead to park their 2nd car in another neighbourhood, basically compounding the problem for residents there.
For this to work fully we really need RPZs to be deployed across the entire city in all residential areas. |
