Gumtree is a good place to find private rentals. I lived in flats operated by letting agents for years and had nothing but trouble with all of them. Had two flats from private landlords and had a much better experience. Just make sure it’s all legit, tenancy agreement, deposit in Safe Deposits Scotland etc. You can get a bit more for your money too.
