I live in Milngavie and there are so many good places to go with your pup. The very start of the West Highland Way is 2mins from Milngavie station, and you can walk to Mugdock via the WHW or Dumgoyne along the old railway track and stop at the Beech Tree Inn for a rest. Even just walking around Milngavie, there is Craigdhu Wedge up to Kilmardinny Loch (home of The Gruffalo sculpture), The Woodland Path at Mains Estate and Milngavie Resevoir, and various parks. Most bars/restaurants in the town centre are dog friendly too.
