Think that's the same route I did to Cardross, though I guess diverging somewhere. From Balloch up the old coffin road where there's a big rock at the summit where an old cross used to be (according to old OS maps)?
If so, fantastic walk, waiting for it to get a bit drier but definitely worth doing.
