During the day I would recommend on street parking up near Glasgow Caledonian university/cowcaddens. It’s starts at a £1 an hour then gets a little steeper. On street parking anywhere closer to queen street is £1 every 15 minutes, there is an invisible line of on street parking around cowcaddens.
Long term I would recommend the multi story ‘Concert square’ or Buchanan galleries.
