It appears that Omicron does lead to milder symptoms, and the successful booster programme is also greatly reducing the risks of the disease - if not the infection rate
At the moment there are only 42 ICU cases of covid in Scotland (of which I understand only 1 is Omicron), about a quarter of nominal ICU bed capacity, so unless that changes, no need for restrictions |
