No matter what OP, I think it’s time to contact your GP. The best thing to do is tell the whole truth, like you have here, and don’t hold anything back. If that GP doesn’t offer any solutions then ask to speak to another one….or you could self refer yourself to a counselling service.

I went through something similar and my GP was amazing. He said he would prescribe tablets in the meantime until I could get a therapy appointment but that tablets alone weren’t a long term solution. I was added to the list for CBT and got a call fairly quickly (although I had a young child under 2 at the time so I think moved me up the priority list). The sessions were over the phone, once per week but that was in the height of lockdown so perhaps it’ll be in person now?

You could call breathing space if you feel like life is getting on top of you https://breathingspace.scot - sometimes it can help a little just to get things off your chest!

Just don’t give up. Things can get better :)
