Sorry you’re having such a difficult time, I really feel for you. Can you afford private therapy? About £50 a session, as often as you can manage it- every 2 weeks, say? There’s charities that do it for reduced rates too. That would be a quicker route to long term help, and you could get antidepressants from the GP in the meantime to settle your head and help you feel safe as soon as possible. My experience with trying to access NHS therapy was a struggle, which is why I’m recommending that, but obviously you could get lucky with your own GP and they’ll be the best person to chat to to let you know waiting times etc at the moment.
I know it’s a privileged thing to be able to access private therapy, but I think it’s worth it. Unfortunately as well, and I absolutely hate to say it, mental health stuff on NHS medical records, especially any record of suicidal thoughts/ plans, costs the individual greatly in the long term when it comes to health or life insurance.
Please keep trying, it will get easier, you won’t always feel like this.
