| Comment | Go to the doctor and please get anti-depressants asap. Don’t down-play the way you feel out of embarrassment. They have seen this loads and there are tried and tested ways of making things better. If you feel like the doctor is dismissing you or isn’t taking you seriously, show him this post and stress to him that you are at the end of your tether. Failing that, ask to see another doctor. Most practises have a few doctors working there. The first thing they prescribe, might not work for you, but eventually you’ll find something that will work.
