The bin men went on strike during COP26 for a pay rise. The rhetoric was that it was something to do with GCC and thus the SNP but pay negotiations are actually between the GMB and COSLA, not the SNP or GCC

*"Convention of Scottish Local Authorities (COSLA) is the national association of Scottish councils and acts as an employers' association for its 32 member authorities".*

Now the thing about the GMB is that they are well documented as being pro unionist and very anti Indy.

Then, Sarwar went around kidding on that it was something to do with GCC. He even went on a highly documented walk around some un emptied bins with the wee shouty guy from the GMB and a load of press. That's when people started to put two and two together and realise this was a tawdry attempt at anti SNP propaganda. Their pay deal was even higher than other places in the UK but they still went on strike.
