As others have said, probably best ignoring. I think there's legislation known as "keeper liability" not yet in force that will require registered keepers of cars to identify drivers (one of the things the SNP have done with which I'm unhappy), so at some point it will be easier for these parking enforcement companies and this advice may no longer apply.

The whole thing doesn't sit well with me, these fines are only "necessary" for organisations that decide to forego investing in physically securing their parking: for example, having a barrier/ticket system that you often see in multi-storey car parks. Maybe it's more rewarding to try and get £100 out of a few people, than £1 out of everyone.
