In that case I agree, in fact looking at street view, there is a half lane added for turning, so if they could cut the middle embankment (are they called that in the middle?) a wee bit and make that an bigger turning lane with space for more cars.

The expressway coming in at that point is a complete pain as well, traffic is heavy, you leave a gap to let one person in from the filter and it's like you have just held a shopping centre door open and everyone floods in and everyone behind you is raging. But if you don't leave a gap, everyone in the filter is raging. It's a really poor design in my opinion where you have two major routes joining so close to traffic lights.

That being said, I can't complain much as I am never going beyond those lights (either off at the slip to Partick, or turning into the road by Victoria Park to visit the folks round that way) so it's a small issue for me, but for people regularly going from the south side to Anniesland it must be an absolute nightmare.
