They're not the best coppers ever and aye some are bent or mad with power. I'd rather have them than not.
My maw and da are in their sixties and a lassy chapped their door at around 1 in the morning. My maw goes to check who it is and unlocks the door. Soon as the door unlocked she turned the handle and barged in. Wasn't a burglar or anything she was absolutely out her bin on something. My maw has some health issues and is in no shape to subdue a drugged up young lassie.. my old man is a fairly strong guy, ex navy and that. He struggled to contain her. He ended up cracking her and lifting her out to the garden and howfing her over the fence/gate but she was still ready to get back up and go. At that point it was pure coincidence that a police van was driving by and my maw screamed at them to stop. They battered out and huckled the lassie into the van. Fuck knows what she was on or what she had on her.
Just another decent example of that sometimes, they do prevent crime. |
