But he's paid rent to live there. That's why I'm not sure of the legality and whether he can justify entering based on having paid rent. Just because the other tenant has changed the locks doesn't automatically mean the op has no rights to enter the property.
While op should have got his name on the lease we don't know that other tenant is in one either. Could all be informal.
Also if the op paid the rent by DD or bank transfer then he's also got financial records of living in the property. If it was cash in hand then probably not. |
