You sure about that? That is not typically how it works. If someone has been living there, particularly if it is a long time, they are usually technically considered a tenant wether there is an agreement or not and standard eviction rules apply. I suspect strongly this is an illegal eviction and that OP may well be legally entitled to enter the property if he has been paying rent.
