That is a point that people don't really talk about. There is a need for housing for housing that isn't bought/owned.
Students, or people who don't expect to stay in one place for a long time, it makes no sense for them to buy.
There is actually a need for rented accommodation, and as long as the rents are fair and the properties maintained, I don't see the problem.
