Comment | American here - so many people (basically everyone) will say to learn manual. I learned to drive in the US so automatic only and didn’t start driving here until this year. I was about 8 years rusty and wanted to get my license the fastest way possible and also in a way I felt comfortable. There’s loads of signs to learn, other side of car etc. I 100% do not regret just getting my automatic license here. Also - automatics will become more popular the way cars are going with hybrid or electric.
In terms of a recommendation for automatic - Jonnie at Topgear driving if you’re west end / Anniesland test centre based. He is incredible. Likely a bit backed up with demand but worth it. Super patient and good chat too! |
