| Comment | I live in the West End. I love the area and love the flat, but I don't plan to live here longer than 5-7 years, so I don't want to buy.
Before here I lived in Edinburgh for a few years, and before that Aberdeen. Obviously I've rented the entire time, and wherever I move onto after Glasgow I'll likely rent, cos I don't want to be tied to any particular location for 20+ years and also I like being able to just phone the landlord whenever there's a problem and let them deal with it.
Point being, that renting is what some people want & need, when they're staying in a place for more than a few months but less than multiple decades |
