I heard about this, unfortunately the current doctrine regarding how to deal with climate change includes demonising any form of open fire, while the rest of the country heats their home with natural gas. Also people seem to think everyone is going to get lung cancer or be poisoned from pollution if you have a fire/stove, because they read it in a Guardian article once.
