| Comment | Those stickers have been kicking about for YEARS before Brexit mate. My point was that this existed WAY before Brexit. I'm not denying that it happens. Its a massive problem in the west of Scotland and it has been since way before I was born. Sectarianism is thankfully dwindling due to the younger generation really not being arsed about stuff like that at all and generally being more tolerant than their older counterparts. Brexit has had fuck all to do with "emboldening sectarianism" in Scotland. Sectarian crimes saw an upshot by around 20% in 2020. This uptick also included crimes against trans, gay people and disabled people. Are we blaming Brexit for them all? Lets not blame unrelated shite and actually tackle root causes of this pish and we'd get somewhere. And for the record, I voted remain and would still.
