| Comment | Those were some ambitious plans: it involved a bridge over Cathedral Street to get to a new multi-storey car park over the "empty" space in Queen Street station. The existing car park would then be demolished to make space for the new cinema, restaurants, etc.
If I remember right, demolition had barely started on the car park (pretty much just the scaffolding being erected) before it was all cancelled. |
