Merchant City Festival should be on at some point over that period. While not an incredible spectacle or anything like that it does bring a wee buzz to that area of town, lots of local creatives, musicians etc.

If you can hire a car and don't mind an early start, Glencoe is in daytrip distance for some classic Scottish landscapes. Not quite as spectacular as some of the stuff further north but anything beyond Glencoe is probably an overnight trip.

If you like to cycle, you can hire a bike and cycle to Loch Lomond/Balloch, which is beautiful. It's about 90 minutes - 2 hours by bike and there's a single direct cycle path from the city all the way there. Once you get through Yoker & Clydebank and get the suit of armour off, its a lovely countryside ride. If you can't be bothered cycling back, trains direct from Balloch to Glasgow will allow bikes.
