Was the alarm in the Reid building faulty or not?
And, say it wasn't, say it was working fine, it would need to be affected by smoke in the early stages of the fire for it to actuate. Yes, later on smoke might've got into the building when the windows failed as a result of the heat. By that time, you still in charge of alarms and evacuations? No, everyone apart from the emergency services are WELL out the picture.


And lets go back to your initial point - how does any of this mean it was arson?
