I totally agree. My son (21) was like this at that age. Him having anxiety never crossed my mind (a sign of the times). I just always thought he was shy. Now he’s older, he’s so much more outgoing. I never forced him to do anything he didn’t want to do and I never made a big deal out of it. He just came out his shell, gained more confidence and now does things he wants to do with people he wants to hang out with. Sometimes kids are just a bit shy and lacking in confidence when they’re younger. Not all kids want to play football and not all are into big group activities.
