If you actually go homeless tell them you have a dog and they won't put you in a high rise. As for temp accoms it's a mixed bag some of them are OK and some are hairy. They are probably going to be in kinda crappier houses tho and probs not in places you are familiar with or feel comfortable in.

I recommend going homeless tho. You say they apologise but an apology means nothing if it the behaviour doesn't stop. If you get a flat thru homelessness the rent will be affordable for one person with a job. E.g my area tends to run about £500 for a 1br private let whereas I pay £280 for my flat cos its a housing association flat. I waited almost a year tho and the council made an arse of my application a few times and I had to be on their back about it. However if you feel better living with friends or flatmates maybe that's something you should look into. I really wanted to live on my own so I held out till they found me somewhere and while at first I wasn't super excited about the area, I now love my home and the area and I met my current partner in the building I'm in.

The council specifically outlines fleeing abuse as a cause for homelessness so you should be OK there.

Temp accoms are going to be weird. They are going to feel unfamiliar and possibly not to your own personal standards but you've got to realise that it's for people who don't have options and need a roof. If you would rather have your comfy surroundings and safe area then that's up to you but personally I would get the fuck out of there, endure some hardship and get total independence from people who see you as a target when they are intoxicated. They also know that they have you bound to them by fear. They really think you won't leave which is why they are comfortable abusing you. Let me tell you there no feeling in the world like punishing your abusers with No/Low Contact when you are self sufficient.

If I were you id make as many plans and moved toward independence as I could cos sometimes it's a long process and the more you've done by the time you leave the better.
