Some servers wait for you to do it, sometimes people hand the server their cards even for contactless, and sometimes the server waits for you to do it but you're busy chatting etc and the don't have time to wait around 🤷♂️
I worked in hospitality for ~15 years and seen all 3, if you aren't comfortable then lift your card as they approach or when they bring the bill ask for the card machine and keep the card in your hand the entire time. |
