My friend is doing his primary probation year in Glasgow at the moment and he said the council aren't filling teacher vacancies - they are just waiting for the latest probationers to come out of uni and fill vacancies that way. When they're finished their probation year there are very few jobs going in the authority despite there being a number of vacancies. They get funding from the Scottish Government for probationer places. |
