Download the AuroraWatch app, it gives notifications on when it might be possible to see them, although its unlikely seeing them from here. I've seen them a handful of times near Inverness but I did get an alert a couple of months ago that they were so strong that they'd be visible to naked eye down here. alas it was cloudy.
