| Comment | Dealt a fair bit with GCC in a past career. It was corrupt as fuck. Backhanders all over the shop - was like an east end big boys mafia. Paid way over commercial rates for things and didn’t care cos people were given jobs, gifts ( Celtic box tickets were a favorite) and commissions to go along with how things were done.
I remember a well placed senior council figure who was leasing a Mercedes e class for 20 quid a week from a key GCC supplier and folk claimed it was a commercial rate. Lol.
