It's comforting that others have come across the dsm5 and icd10 controversies too! My doctor told me to read a lot about the condition he gave me a 'soft' diagnosis for (obviously steering me away from some websites, random googling, etc and encouraging me to be quite skeptical) and I have found a few decent articles in the journal of affective disorders about potential shortcomings of official MH guidelines. I've been finding it dead interesting! I'll check out your link shortly (currently doing the washing up...)
I have heard of the chimp paradox so will take another look. Another I've had recommendations for is Happy by Derren Brown, but I haven't had chance to read this either (so can't say how relevant it is, but it's one that was pointed out to me while I was first figuring out what was going on). |
