Comment	See the line about men-sheds? I know someone who was in a grant review board where an applicant wanted to actually look, empirically, at their effectiveness. It got punted because the chair said 'either they don't work and we can't recommend it any more, or it does work and they'll want the NHS to subsidise it. No'. That's the world we're dealing with.
