Comment | Have had a look and it looks like the takeaways have varying names they call channa puri. I mean a channa curry with a fried, puffed up bread. Suspect it is a very Scottish/British recipe sauce that has been given a the name of a real dish. The recipes I’ve tried on line aren’t sweet and sour but are very tasty.
Think the one you’re describing, which I also like a lot, is the goppay or panipuri that I’ve seen on line.
