Depends what you want, but off the cuff and keeping strictly to Shawlands:

* Curious Liquids - great wines and beers, only small pizzas and nibbles for food (maybe go here after a meal? Book a table)
* Philies - good pub food (burgers etc), just don't cut through Curious Liquids to get there
* Granary - not had food in there, but the beer is OK
* Linen - good pub food (burgers etc) and decent gin selection
* Corona - Decent enough pub food, if you are lucky there will be a guest ale on
* Julie's Kopiteam - Amazing if you can get in (go there, arrange a time as the don't do bookings, nick for drinks elsewhere?)
* Indian on Skiriving Street - fantastic Indian
* Oscars - good food & cocktails (they don't take bookings)
* Himalayan dine - decent Indian
* McFly's - chicken joint, OK but maybe not the right place for this
* Oro - decent Italian
* Paddy Losty's - probably would be good for beer and music if they could ever get themselves organised
* Kilmurray's - good food & cocktails
* Loks - always busy, but the one time I was there I found it a bit...lacking. May well have been an off day and I'd want to try them again
