| Comment | I have always given way to pedestrians when I can, but my point with that particular junction is that it's so busy, and pedestrian traffic doesn't end. If you strictly adhere to giving way to all pedestrians then you could be sitting there for hours, and if there are cars parked along beside Barrat's - Boots then traffic behind cannot get past.
It really needs traffic lights. I had to help someone who was blind cross there once, and it made me realise what a free-for-all it really is. |
