ORO. You can't go wrong. My Italian friend says this is the most authentic Italian in Scotland (ie a bit bling but great food and excellent service) She recommends the scallops and black pudding starter

if you can't get a table there;

Linen is full of coked up bams and heavy drinkers (I should know) avoid like the plague

Phillies is OK but pretty loud and not really that nice for a celebration dinner

Granary is just miserable

The Corona smells of school dinners, staff are clearly treated badly as their manner is awful

Further afield, Battlefield rest is V good. Nivens: meh, Bungo: V good, Zinfandel:very seafood based but pretty good
