rn I work for Clear-Links Support which is a company that provides support to disabled uni students. been on both ends (providing and receiving support), and they are decent. I definitely could list some issues but it's well-paid (although the universities where the support happens decide the pay - at Glasgow Uni it's quite nice, am earning £13+/hr now) and fairly relaxed (but most of my work experience is from customer service soo...)

worked for Loop and scoop recently and it sucked absolute ass. the worker turnover is insane (which doesn't help with unionising), staff aren't allowed to take tips, are overworked, no tips etc. I ended up with a fair amount of burns that are still visible on my arms - but injuries are rarely ever reported. quit when managers who never work in the shop started phoning the floor to tell staff off over minor mistakes they saw happen on cctv - brought it up with the boss (amongst many other things), who seemingly had no idea why this bothered me. realised the worker turnover was more likely by design than a side-effect.
