| Comment | oh I'm loving to hear that about tips - I thought he was lying to me when we had a discussion about it, and this confirms it.
The original excuse was that there's not enough tips to gather to divide up amongst staff in a day (I think this was in the handbook). I asked why we don't gather them seasonally then, like every workplace I had where this was an issue. he said he tried to do that but it got stolen, then later he tried to use it for 'events for staff', I don't even remember what he said the problem with that was? and then he tried to divide it equally among staff but, he said, the staff started having conflict because front of house staff wanted the tips not to go to the kitchen staff? which sounded insane to me since the people I was working with all were absolutely lovely and friendly and helpful. he was like "oh so as you can see I have tried everything :(" and I couldn't really argue because I couldn't just say "you're clearly lying". he's also said how you wouldn't give tips in McDonald's so he doesn't see what the big issue is not getting tips lol.
