I understand I'm paying for a service and I understand that you might need to factor in rent which I know is high especially in the West end. I have no objection in paying when getting my hair done, it's not the first time I spent a 100 euros on my hair back home, but that was for a full head of highlights, cut, wash, dry and toner. Also my aunt owns and runs a hair salon back home so I am well aware of costs.

What you don't seem to understand is that while I am aware of all this, does not mean I can currently afford it and I'm just looking for somewhere that I can possibly afford so I don't break the bank but also feel just a little bit better about myself in a new country with no job or friends.

P.s. I have only been here for a month and to me those prices are very high. Back home a wash and cut would cost about 12 to 15 euros, 20 euros at most if you're going to a fancier place, and they always dry your hair or put product in it for curly hair (so price also includes that). Also they don't change the price based on how long your hair is, they have standard costs for everything and the only variation is in how much product they used (i.e. for toning for example - and not always).

So excuse me if I'm still getting used to the system you have here. And also, if I had a job, I would have no problem in paying the higher prices for my hair.
