Switching providers might not help this if you're still using the BT copper, it depends on why you're having drops. You might want to try a [Quiet Line Check](http://help.sitgroup.co.uk/support/solutions/articles/35000088353-perform-a-quiet-line-test) and see if there's a noticeable difference during times when your connection is having issues. If there is a problem, then you need to get your provider to refer the fault to OpenReach.

To avoid BT lines, Hyperoptic and Virgin are the only choice in most locations. With Virgin, you have to be in an area where they provide cable TV (whether you choose to get it or not) to use their dedicated lines because they also offer VDSL over BT lines.
